PM Modi Vows Unimaginable Retribution for Pahalgam Terror Attack; LeT Commander Saifullah Kasuri Denies Involvement

New Delhi / Pahalgam :
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday delivered a stern warning to those responsible for the recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, declaring that the perpetrators and their conspirators will face punishment “beyond imagination.”

Addressing a public gathering in Madhubani, Bihar, the Prime Minister condemned the attack, which targeted unarmed civilians and tourists, describing it as an assault on the very soul of India. In a message aimed at the global community, Mr. Modi affirmed the nation’s resolve to bring the guilty to justice and acknowledged the solidarity expressed by world leaders.

“Every effort will be made to ensure justice. The entire nation is united in this resolve. I thank the leaders and citizens of various countries who have stood by us,” he said, delivering part of his address in English.

In a veiled reference to Pakistan, Mr. Modi reiterated that the willpower of 140 crore Indians would decisively counter those who support terrorism.

LeT Commander Releases Video, Denies Role

Meanwhile, Saifullah Kasuri, a senior commander of the Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), has denied any involvement in the Pahalgam terror attack. In a video message circulating online, a visibly distressed Kasuri claimed innocence and accused Indian media outlets of falsely implicating him in the incident.

“I have no role in the Pahalgam attack. The Indian media is wrongly framing me,” Kasuri said, further alleging that the narrative was being used to hinder Pakistan’s development.

However, security agencies view Kasuri as a key figure in LeT’s operational framework and a central conspirator behind the Pahalgam incident. According to intelligence sources, Kasuri has close ties to LeT founder Hafiz Saeed and oversees strategic operations for both LeT and its affiliate, The Resistance Front (TRF), in the Kashmir Valley.

His video contradicts an earlier statement attributed to him in which he reportedly threatened that “Kashmir will soon be integrated with Pakistan.”

Investigation and Security Response

Following the attack, security has been heightened across the region, with intelligence agencies closely monitoring communications and movements linked to terror outfits. Officials assert that efforts are underway to dismantle networks operating across the Line of Control.

The Pahalgam attack has drawn widespread condemnation, both domestically and internationally, as India continues its diplomatic and security push to hold the perpetrators accountable.
