Frightening videos of major fire incidents at Abids Area in Hyderabad & Kasargod in Kerala injuring many in last 2 days due to fireworks. Diwali Festivities have already begun. I humbly appeal to all to take utmost care while storing & bursting of firecrackers. I also urge Government Authorities to ensure safety of citizens, stated Youth Leader Prabhav Naik.
In a Social Media post, Prabhav Naik tagged both District Collectors of Goa who also happen to be heads of State Disaster Management Cell and demanded that eleborate preventive measures should be put in place to handle any incident.
I am fully aware of the absence of proper Fire Fighting Equipments in and around Margao Municipal Market. Situatuon is not better in other Markets of Goa. It is now only in the hands of people to take care of their safety, said Prabhav Naik.
Fire and Emergency Service in Goa is also having lot of limitations. We have seen the ill prepared Disaster Management Authority in Goa. Hence, Goans will have to focus on Safety and Security, said Prabhav Naik.
Fire incidents at Abids Market in Hyderabad and at a Temple in Kasargod in Kerala are really a cause of worry for all of us. It is my duty to alert the Citizens and hence I decided to post the videos on my Social Media handles, Prabhav Naik said.
