AGDBYA Hosts Successful 7th Daivadnya Cricket Cup 2025
The 7th edition of the Akhil Gomantakiya Daivadnya Brahmin Youth Association’s (AGDBYA) Daivadnya Cricket Cup 2025 took place on March 1st and 2nd at the S.A.G ground, Fatorda. The event concluded with a grand ceremony, where Dr. Lt. Col (Retd) Vinod Dyaneshwar Salkar graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Shri Mukesh Ghatwal, a renowned Music Composer, Arranger, Singer, and Keyboard Player, attended as the Guest of Honour.
During the event, Miss Simran Santosh Haldankar was honored for her outstanding achievement, securing a Bronze Medal for India at the South Asian Karate Championship 2024, powered by Ulhas Jewellers.
A total of 14 teams, including two women’s teams, participated in this year’s tournament. Smt. Seema R. Vernekar, the newly elected President of AGDBYA, extended a warm welcome to the guests and dignitaries and provided an overview of the association’s ongoing events, activities, and social service initiatives throughout the year.
Dr. Lt. Col (Retd) Vinod Dyaneshwar Salkar appreciated AGDBYA’s professionalism in organizing such events and thanked the association for inviting him as the Chief Guest.
The winners and runners-up teams, along with individual achievers, were presented with trophies in a grand ceremony attended by over 300 people. The awards were as follows:

- Men’s Runner-up – Dynamic Cricketers
- Man of the Series – Ayush Verlekar
- Best Batsman – Amrut Verlekar
- Best Bowler – Diptesh Haldankar
- Man of the Match (Final) – Yash Kasvankar
- Best Catch – Mithil Karekar
- Maximum Sixes – Ayush Verlekar
- Best Upcoming Player – Yash Kasvankar
- Women’s Winning Team – Dakshin Warriors
- Women’s Runner-up – Bardez Regals
- Man of the Match (Women’s) – Snehal Walke
The event was compered by Miss Vaibhavi Bandodkar and Mr. Vishal Vernekar, while Mr. Sahil Lotlikar, Secretary of AGDBYA, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the guests, teams, players, sponsors, audience, match officials, and volunteers for their valuable contributions to the event’s success.
