Will the Governor Speak On Unemployment, Crimes, Land Conversions? : Congress

Governor P S Sreedhran Pillai spoke in Kerala about Population & Demography of Goa. Hope he will soon speak on Rise in Unemployment, Crimes, Land Conversions & Hill Cuttings, Corruption, Gambling, Casinos & Prostitution under BJP in last 12 years & its impact on Identity of Goa, stated Congress Party.
Reacting to the statement of Governor of Goa in Kerala about decline in Catholic Population and rise in Muslims in Goa, which the Governor later claimed that he was misquoted, Congress Party demanded that Governor should speak on Core Issues faces by Goans.
It is the duty of the Governor as Constitutional Head of the State to ensure that Government functions under the ambit of Constitution of India. The very fact that Governor allowed Defections and later inducted one of the Defectors as a Minister clearly shows that Governor is not impartial, Congress claimed.
Congress Party wants Governor to act against the illegal Land Conversions and Hill Cuttings. There is rise in Murders, Rapes, Extortions in Goa. Governor should seek explanations from the Government, says Congress.
Congress Party wanted swift action from Governor against the Chief Secretary of Goa who is involved in Illegal Land Conversion at Aldona. He did not speak on involvement of former DGP in Assagao House Demolition Case. He chose to keep quiet when Residents of Anjuna were protesting against Loud Music. Governor must speak on this, expecta Congress Party.
