Tata Power Reports Strong Q2 FY26 on Renewables and Core Business Growth

Mumbi:  Tata Power posted a 14% rise in consolidated PAT to ₹1,245 crore for Q2 FY26, supported by steady operational performance across its core and clean energy businesses. Revenue for the quarter grew 3% to ₹15,769 crore, while EBITDA rose 6% to ₹4,032 crore.


For H1 FY26, PAT increased 10% to ₹2,508 crore; revenue was up 4% at ₹33,233 crore, and EBITDA grew 11% to ₹7,961 crore.


Renewables Lead Momentum
The renewables segment recorded a 70% jump in PAT to ₹511 crore in Q2, with EBITDA up 57%. Solar manufacturing PAT surged 262% to ₹240 crore, driven by record production of 928 MW of cells and 970 MW of modules. TP Solar also earned BloombergNEF Tier-1 status, strengthening export prospects. Rooftop solar posted strong gains, supported by an order book of ₹1,116 crore.

Distribution, Transmission Show Strong Gains
Odisha DISCOMs PAT rose 362% to ₹174 crore, while overall distribution PAT grew 34% to ₹557 crore. Transmission PAT increased 41% to ₹120 crore. The company is exploring new opportunities in Maharashtra, Goa, and Uttar Pradesh.

Clean Energy Projects Advance
Construction has begun on the 600 MW Khorlochhu Hydro Project in Bhutan and the 1,000 MW Bhivpuri Pumped Storage Project in Maharashtra to strengthen round-the-clock renewable supply.

CEO & MD Dr. Praveer Sinha said the results reflect the strength of the company’s integrated, diversified model and its expanding clean energy pipeline of 10 GW under construction.
