Margao: Parikrama 0.8, Goa’s youth focused knowledge and cultural platform, will be held on February 7 and 8 at Ravindra Bhavan in Margao, bringing together educators, cultural practitioners, and language activists for two days of dialogue, performances, and public recognition. The event is regarded as an important forum for strengthening the Konkani and regional cultural ecosystem while encouraging intellectual exchange and creative participation among young people.

Curated by Knowledge Terminus, Parikrama has grown into a recognised space that connects education, culture, and community engagement. Each edition features curated sessions, artistic presentations, and idea sharing programmes designed to widen access to knowledge and cultural discourse.

During the opening ceremony on February 7, three distinguished awards will be presented to honour contributions to education, culture, and the Konkani movement. Vishwapratap Pawar will receive the 8th Dr Madhavi Sardesai Puraskar, Chetan Khedekar will be conferred the 3rd Eknath Naik Maandkar award, and Prashant Kamath will receive the 2nd Nityanand Naik Sanghtak Puraskar.

Organisers said the awards continue the platform’s tradition of recognising grassroots changemakers and cultural torchbearers whose work has contributed meaningfully to Goa’s intellectual and cultural life.
