Kubbra Sait Breaks Down Over Upma on Reality Show Rise and Fall

Actor Kubbra Sait, known for her unconventional choices and memorable performances, has taken on a new challenge by participating in the reality television show Rise and Fall, hosted by Ashneer Grover. The show places contestants in starkly contrasting situations of wealth and scarcity, compelling them to adapt to extreme conditions.

In a recent social media post, Sait offered her followers a candid glimpse into the emotional upheaval the show has brought. Sharing a reel on Instagram, she juxtaposed her life before the show,  replete with diverse global cuisines, against her current reality of subsisting on modest meals. Among them, one dish in particular, upma, triggered an unexpected emotional response.

“It’s such a dumb thing to cry about, but I actually hate it,” Sait admitted in the clip, explaining that she has disliked upma since childhood. Now compelled to eat it regularly on the show, she referred to the dish as “concrete,” captioning her post: “Look what made me CRY. UPMA. #RiseAndFall”.

Over the years, Sait has carved a niche for herself as a versatile performer. After early appearances in films such as Sultan and Ready, she earned critical acclaim with her portrayal of Kukoo in Netflix’s Sacred Games. She was recently seen opposite Ajay Devgn in Son of Sardaar 2, and is set to reprise her role as Sana in the second season of the courtroom drama The Trial.
