Panaji: The Konkani film Claudia, written and directed by noted Goan filmmaker Rajendra Talak, is set for its world premiere at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2025. The film will be screened on November 27 at 9:15 a.m., marking a significant moment for Goan cinema as the project steps onto an international platform.

Set against the lively and culturally rich backdrop of Goa, Claudia weaves together themes of family, music, and heritage, offering audiences a heartfelt narrative rooted in the state’s traditions. The film is slated for a public release on December 19, giving local audiences and cinephiles an opportunity to experience the story on the big screen.

Talak also noted that payments under the Goa Film Finance Scheme have been processed for local directors up to 2023, signalling the government’s continued support for regional filmmaking. This assistance, he said, plays a vital role in sustaining and promoting Goan storytelling.

With Claudia, Talak aims to place Konkani culture in the spotlight while celebrating the creativity and dedication of Goa’s film community.
