I urge Dr. Pramod Sawant to read History Books before making statements… : Amit Patkar

It is most unfortunate that Shakha Trained Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has given credit for global recognition of Goa to a “Drug Festival” like Sunburn. I once again urge Dr. Pramod Sawant read History Books before making stupid statements, stated Congress President Amit Patkar.

Reacting to the Speech of CM Dr. Pramod Sawant at Niti Ayog Meeting and Statement of Union Minister Kiren Rijiju saying Congress did not contribute to Development of Goa, Congress President Amit Patkar called BJP as Promoters of Mafias in Goa.

CHOGM Retreat 1983 hosted by then Congress Government led by Smt. Indira Gandhi took Goa on World Horizon. Goa has its distinct Identity, Culture & Heritage which has Global Recognition. BJP Government’s Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant should do homework & stop giving Credit to Drug Festivals like Sunburn Festival, stated Amit Patkar.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju should know that Downfall of Goa begun in 2012 with BJP promoted Mafias eyeing on every inch of our land after BJP grabbed backdoor power. Mhadei Compromised, Mining & Tourism Finished, Massive Land Conversions, Highest Unemployment, Mission Total Commission, Goa turned into Crime Destination are contributions of Double Engine Government, pointed Amit Patkar.

Congress Party always respected Sentiments and Emotions of Goans and contributed in every milestone from Goa Liberation to Statehood. Congress built Bridges, GMC Hospital Complex, South Goa District Collectorate, Ravindra Bhavans, Central Library, Goa University and various other Projects. We brought Development by Protecting Environment, Forest and Wildlife, said Amit Patkar.

He also slammed Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant for presenting False and Misleading Facts at Niti Ayog Meeting. Venue of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s South Goa Loksabha Election Campaign Meeting at Sancoale was few meters away from the place where “Open Defecation”, but CM Sawant has claimed Goa is ODF in his speech, This is a joke said Amit Patkar.

Goa has become Swayampurna in “Crimes, Land Grabbings, Corruption, Prostitution, Gambling, Casinos” which are all patronised by BJP Government. BJP has made a record of Highest Land Conversions in Goa, said Amit Patkar.
