Knowledge Terminus, in collaboration with Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, has officially announced Parikrama 0.8, a multi-disciplinary creative knowledge festival. Designed to nurture holistic development, creativity, research aptitude, fashion sensibilities, and digital skills among young artists and students across the state, the festival will feature a wide range of competitions and activities. The event will take place on 7th and 8th February 2026.
Entering its eighth edition, Parikrama continues to hold the distinction of being Goa’s prominent knowledge-based festival for the past seven years. This year’s edition, also the first major festival of the calendar year, will present an exciting line-up of creative competitions such as Box Theatres, Kaneykar (solo storytelling), Folk Studio, Folk Fitness, Fashion Folga, Photo-Vapi, Chitra-Vichitra, Ad-Making, Infographics and more, as announced by the organisers.
The Box Theatre segment challenges participants to stage an entire theatrical piece within just 15 minutes, while Kaneykar requires performers to present a complete solo storytelling act in 7 minutes. Folk Studio and Folk Fitness will offer a refreshing blend of tradition and modernity, giving local folk arts a contemporary showcase. Fashion Folga will allow participants to reimagine textile traditions, colour palettes, and modern fashion collages.
To promote a culture of research, the organisers have also announced a Research Essay Competition. Participants must submit a 2000–2500-word essay on themes such as literature, history, science, society, or culture by 20th January 2026.
Highlighting the festival’s rewards, Chairperson Urvashi Naik stated that outstanding groups will receive attractive cash prizes and a Rolling Gold Trophy. The festival will also include a variety of outdoor sporting activities. Emphasising the aim of bringing individuals, institutions, and communities together, the organisers shared that the entire initiative has been designed as a unique, collaborative celebration of knowledge and creativity.
