Ensure Timely Distribution of Foodgrains Before Diwali : Prabhav

Margao : With Diwali just around the corner, Madganvcho Awaaz and Youth Leader Prabhav Naik has expressed deep concern over the reported delays in the distribution of foodgrains at Fair Price Shops across Goa due to technical issues.

Reacting to the notice issued by the Department of Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs today, informing the public about the delay in foodgrain distribution at the FPS level, Prabhav Naik stated that while it is good that the department has acknowledged the issue, it must ensure immediate corrective measures to avoid inconvenience to the public, particularly during the festive period.

Such disruptions, especially ahead of major festivals, cause unnecessary distress to families who depend on the Public Distribution System for their essential needs. “Festivals like Diwali are a time of joy and togetherness, not of worry over basic necessities,” he said.

Madganvcho Awaaz has appealed to the Department to act swiftly and ensure that the technical problems are resolved without further delay. Immediate steps must be taken to streamline the process and guarantee that all ration cardholders receive their due supplies well before Diwali.

“The government must ensure that no family faces inconvenience during the festive season. Timely delivery of essential commodities is not just a duty, it’s a matter of dignity and relief for countless households preparing for Diwali,” Prabhav Naik emphasized, reaffirming Madganvcho Awaaz’s commitment to stand by the people of Goa on all issues that affect their daily lives.
