Captain On Congress Building Mission

Newly elected South Goa Loksabha Member of Parliament Capt. Viriato Fernandes is on a superfast Congress building mission. He is crisscrossing Goa after his return from the recently ended monsoon session of parliament.

Capt. Virito took everyone by surprise by remaining present at the silent protest on thursday 15th August at Anjuna against loud music played by night clubs & restaurants. Congress president Amit Patkar accompanied him and both raised a strong voice against the government’s failure to curb the illegalities.

South Goa MP made his presence felt on 17th August at the Ravindra Kelekar Dnyanmandir School at Margao on the sidelines of installation of the students council of konkani school.

His visit to Bhoma on Monday 19th August 2024 with Congress president Amit Patkar was again a big eyebrow raiser for many, as the said area is part of North Goa loksabha constituency. Capt. Viriato Fernandes has promised a solution to the residents on diversion of bypass passing through village.

Capt. Fernandes visited Chetana Education Society’s School for Special Children in Curchorem on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. He described the visit as emotional moment for him.

He later moved to Aggasaim village in St.Andre constituency in North Goa to participate in Kids for Tiger event organised by Sanctuary Nature Foundation. Noted environmentalist Rajendra Kerkar accompanied Capt. Viriato for the function. They also discussed issues concerning Goa.

Capt. Viriato Fernandes during his interaction at the District Level Review Committee and District Consultative Committee meeting held at South Goa Collectorate, impressed upon the authorities on their responsibility to serve people in timebound manner while solving various issue faced by common man.

He attended the Rajiv Gandhi birth anniversary function at Bambolim and Panaji organised by Goa Pradesh Congress Committee and later in the day interacted with farmers of Curtorim while attending feast of Handi Khuris in Curtorim.

Capt. Viriato Fernandes has pulled his socks after getting elected as MP of South Goa and is continuously on a move interacting with party workers, office bearers as well as public. This move is helping Congress to build up morale of workers who were feeling ignored and sidelined.
