BJP never needed the MGP : Minister Govind Gaude

Panaji:
Today’s Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) is not the party that Bhausaheb Bandodkar envisioned. This party lacks the democracy found in other political parties. If it had democracy, it wouldn’t be in its current state. Why is it that not a single MLA from this party is surviving today? This question needs to be considered. Govind Gawade, MLA from the Priol constituency and the state’s Minister for Art and Culture, asserted that the BJP never needed to form an alliance with the MGP in the state, nor does it need to do so today. He expressed this opinion when asked by the media in Panaji.
“We have directly defeated the MGP in every constituency they claim, including Shiroda, Ponda, and Priol. And we have done so consistently. So, there is no question of allying with them. That is why Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant made a very responsible statement yesterday. As party workers, we will always support his statement. Furthermore, both the state BJP and the central BJP are aware of all of this. As an organization, we have always been strong in the state, which is why we do not need the MGP in any upcoming elections,” Govind Gaude said firmly.
‘How is this a Bahujan party?’
“If these two brothers keep claiming that theirs is a MGP is a Bahujan party, then why is the party president always aligned with them? Why don’t they recognize other party workers and leaders? Even though this party has a capable alternative like Jeet Arolkar, why hasn’t he been given the president’s post? This is not possible for them, so how can this party be considered a Bahujan party?” Govind Gaude asked bluntly.
