‘Be kind to future Canconkars and save Cancona from disaster’

It is now in the hands of Canconkars to show their kindness towards Future Canconkars and Save Canacona from Disaster. I humbly appeal to Canconkars not to give their Consent for the Film City Project at the Eco-Sensitive Bhagwati Plateau in Loliem, stated Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao.
He was speaking at the Congress Workers meeting at Cancona in the presence of Congress Party nominated INDIA Candidate Capt. Viriato Fernandes, Quepem MLA Altone D’Costa, South Goa District Congress President Savio D’Silva, Cancona Block Congress President Abel Borges and others.
Communities living along the Coastline of 105 Kilometers which is now under jurisdiction of Mormugao Port Authority(MPA) will soon face hardships. I will take up the issue to free the entire Coastline from the jurisdiction of MPA and give relief to Goans. Canacona Fishermen Community as well as all those staying in Coastal Belt will be benefitted, claimed Capt. Viriato Fernandes.
BJP Government is eyeing every inch of Land in Goa with an ulterior motive of promoting Land & Real Estate Mafia in Goa. Canconkars should show the same zest like Farmers of Shel Melauli in Sattari and oppose the Film City Project. Let this huge land remain for your generations to come, said Quepem MLA Altone D’Costa.
South Goa District Congress President Savio D’Silva appealed to all the Congress Workers to reach out to each Canconkar and request them to vote for Capt. Viriato Fernandes.
Canacona Block Congress President Abel Borges while addressing the workers said that no stone will be kept unturned to give a comfortable margin to Capt. Viriato Fernandes.
Congress Workers from Canacona Municipal Area as well as from Panchayat Areas like Paiguinim, Agonda, Shristhal, Gaondongri were present for the meeting and assured to put in maximum efforts to win the South Goa Loksabha Seat.
