Ashawadi Prakashan Marks Silver Jubilee; Poinnari Celebrates Decennial Year with Awards
MANGALORE: Ashawadi Prakashan, which began its journey in Kuwait in 2000, is celebrating its Silver Jubilee this year. Concurrently, Poinnari, the multi-script Konkani literary portal founded in Mumbai in 2015, is observing its decennial anniversary. In this context, both organizations have announced their annual Best Book Awards and honours.
The Late Denis D’Cunha Kinnikambla Memorial ‘Best Konkani (Kannada Script) Transliteration Book Award’ has been conferred upon Nirvasit Yatrichi Bhounddi, a poetry collection by Shailendra Mehta. The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 along with a citation and memento.
