Air India to Add Over 170 Weekly Flights to Domestic and Short-Haul International Network This Winter
GURUGRAM, October 15, 2025: Air India on Wednesday announced a major expansion of its domestic and short-haul international operations, adding 174 weekly flights to its network as part of the Northern Winter Schedule beginning October 26, 2025. The move is aimed at strengthening connectivity to key Indian cities and popular destinations in Southeast Asia during the peak travel season.
The airline will increase services on two high-demand international routes from Delhi:
Delhi–Kuala Lumpur: Frequency to rise from seven to ten flights a week from November 15.
Delhi–Denpasar (Bali): Frequency to rise from seven to ten flights a week from December 1.
Domestic Network Enhancements
The carrier will also bolster its domestic network with new and additional services across several states, including Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat.
Seasonal Additions to Rajasthan (effective October 26):
New routes: Delhi–Jaipur (3x daily) and Delhi–Jaisalmer (2x daily)
Increased frequencies: Delhi–Udaipur (3x daily), Mumbai–Jaipur (4x daily), Mumbai–Udaipur (4x daily), and Mumbai–Jodhpur (2x daily)
Additional Flights to Madhya Pradesh (effective October 26):
Delhi–Indore: 4x daily (up from 3x)
Delhi–Bhopal: 3x daily (up from 2x)
Mumbai–Indore: 2x daily (up from 1x)
Additional Flights to Gujarat (effective October 26):
Mumbai–Bhuj: 2x daily (up from 1x)
Delhi–Rajkot: 2x daily (up from 1x)
Other Frequency Increases (effective October 26):
Delhi–Varanasi, Delhi–Raipur: 3x daily (up from 2x)
Delhi–Port Blair, Delhi–Aurangabad, Delhi–Guwahati, Delhi–Nagpur: 2x daily (up from 1x)
Mumbai–Dehradun, Mumbai–Patna, Mumbai–Amritsar: 2x daily (up from 1x)
Fleet Modernisation Nears Completion
Air India’s ongoing retrofit programme for its legacy Airbus A320neo aircraft—launched in September 2024—is nearing completion, with 26 of 27 aircraft now featuring fully refurbished cabin interiors. The upgraded aircraft include a three-class configuration comprising Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy Class.
With this retrofit, Air India now operates more than 100 A320 Family aircraft equipped with modern interiors, offering a significantly enhanced travel experience across over 80 domestic and short-haul international routes.
