Amit Patkar to Support Education of 10 SC Students in Goa

PANJIM: Amit Patkar, president of the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee, has announced an initiative to support the education of 10 Scheduled Caste students from across the State, to assist meritorious candidates facing financial constraints.

Mr. Patkar said the effort was intended to help students continue their education without interruption, particularly those from economically weaker backgrounds. He noted that access to education remained a key factor in improving opportunities and ensuring social equity.

Describing the initiative as a personal commitment, Mr. Patkar said it was an attempt to extend support to deserving students who required financial assistance to pursue their academic goals. The assistance will cover educational expenses, with beneficiaries to be selected based on merit and need.

The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee said the initiative reflected its broader focus on social justice and educational inclusion, and called on individuals and organisations to contribute towards supporting students from disadvantaged communities.
