MUMBAI : TVS Motor Company has delivered two units of its electric scooter, TVS iQube, to the Governorate of Vatican City State as part of an initiative promoting sustainable mobility.

The scooters were handed over on February 5 through a collaboration involving TVS Motor Italia and Exelentia, a mobility solutions firm engaged in innovation and sustainability projects. The move is positioned as part of the Vatican’s ongoing efforts towards ecological transition and adoption of zero-emission transport solutions for its operational requirements.

In a statement, Giovanni Notarbartolo di Furnari, General Manager, TVS Motor Italia, said the deployment of the iQube in the Vatican reflects the company’s vision for urban electric mobility focused on reliability and ease of use. Giovanni Zappia, Founder and Owner of Exelentia, said the partnership reinforces the firm’s commitment to providing mobility solutions suited to sensitive urban and institutional contexts.

Zero-emission mobility

According to the company, the TVS iQube was selected for its silent operation and technology features, which are suited to the Vatican’s historic setting. The electric scooter offers a range of up to 100 km in eco mode and comes equipped with connected features through the SmartXonnect system, accessible via a TFT display and mobile application.

TVS Motor said the iQube is designed for urban and short-distance travel, combining riding comfort, ease of handling and zero tailpipe emissions.

Headquartered in India, TVS Motor Company operates in over 90 countries. Exelentia focuses on last-mile mobility solutions in European markets.
