Parikrama, a Goa-based youth knowledge and cultural platform curated by Knowledge Terminus, has announced its annual awards recognising contributions to education, culture, and the Konkani movement. The awards will be presented at the opening ceremony of Parikrama 0.8, scheduled for February 7, 2026, at Ravindra Bhavan in Margao.
Three individuals have been selected this year for their work in academics, folk traditions, and language activism.
The 8th Dr Madhavi Sardesai Puraskar will be conferred on Vishwapratap Pawar, faculty member at Carmel Women’s College, for sustained work in academics and youth mentorship.
The 3rd Eknath Naik Maandkar Puraskar will be presented to Chetan Khedekar, a folk expert and State Youth Award winner, for efforts towards preserving and promoting Goan folk traditions.
The 2nd Nityanand Naik Sanghtak Puraskar will be awarded to senior Konkani karyakarta Prashant Kamath for his long-standing contribution to strengthening the Konkani language and cultural movement.

Each award includes a cash prize of ₹25,000, a citation, and a memento.
Organisers said the awards aim to recognise grassroots contributors and cultural practitioners whose work has had a lasting impact on young people and Goa’s intellectual and cultural landscape.
Parikrama 0.8 will be held over two days, February 7 and 8, and will feature performances and knowledge sharing initiatives.
