Daivadnya Cricket Cup 2026 begins Jan 17 in Fatorda

The Akhil Gomantakiya Daivadnya Brahmin Youth Association (AGDBYA) will organise the 8th edition of the Daivadnya Cricket Cup 2026 on January 17 and 18 at the S.A.G Ground, Fatorda.
A total of 17 teams from across Goa will participate in the tournament, including two women’s teams and two kids’ teams, reflecting the association’s inclusive sporting vision.
The jersey launch ceremony was held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Hotel Cosmique, Margao. The event was attended by the main sponsors — Swaroop V.S. Raikar Jewellers, Lotlikars Jewellers, Anta Jewellers, Ramakant Jewellers (Margao), Damodar Gajanan Raikar & Sons, Adarsh Caterers and Hotel Cosmique — along with representatives of all 17 teams, members of the AGDBYA managing committee and the media.
Welcoming the gathering, AGDBYA president Seema Vernekar highlighted the association’s year-round social and community initiatives. The trophies were unveiled by secretary Sampada Nagvenkar and treasurer Rahul Lotlikar. The programme was compered by Sampada Shirodkar, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Nagvenkar.
