‘Niyatham’ released to mark Kerala Piravi Day

Governor Rajendra Arlekar released a music video titled ‘Niyatham’ at a function held at Raj Bhavan, Thiruvananthapuram, to mark Kerala Piravi Day.
The video, produced under the banner of Magic Wand Motion Pictures, is directed by Sreedas Somasekharan, with music and lyrics composed by Rakesh Kesavan. The music video reflects the visual and emotional beauty of Kerala, its rain-washed landscapes, quiet rhythm, and deep-rooted cultural grace.
Featuring Raavi and Rakenth Pai in the lead roles, ‘Niyatham’ celebrates the soul and spirit of Kerala through its poetic visuals and musical storytelling. The project’s creative head was Kishor Arjun, while Sarath Sashi served as the production controller.
Speaking at the event, Governor Arlekar congratulated the entire team for their creative effort and their commitment to representing Kerala’s culture through art. He said that initiatives like Niyatham beautifully capture the State’s timeless beauty and cultural soul. Through music, images, and emotion, he added, the team has portrayed what Kerala truly represents, a land of grace, rhythm, and harmony. The Governor also encouraged the young filmmakers and artists to continue creating such meaningful works that celebrate Kerala’s identity, culture, and artistic spirit in many new ways.

The release event at Raj Bhavan was attended by members of the film’s team, including director Sreedas Somasekharan, music composer Rakesh Kesavan, creative head Kishor Arjun, and production controller Sarath Sashi, along with actors Raavi and Rakenth Pai.
Niyatham, the makers said, is a tribute to Kerala, to its rhythm of life, its art, and the quiet poetry of its land and people.
