New Delhi : Sony India has launched the WH-1000XM6, the latest model in its flagship 1000X series of wireless noise-cancelling headphones, priced at ₹39,990. The new edition builds on the success of the WH-1000XM5, offering faster processing, improved noise cancellation, and upgraded sound quality.

The WH-1000XM6 features Sony’s HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3, which is seven times faster than its predecessor and powers 12 microphones for real-time adaptive noise control. The new Adaptive NC Optimiser automatically adjusts to changes in ambient sound and air pressure, enhancing the listening experience across different environments.

Developed in collaboration with mastering engineers from Sterling Sound, Battery Studios, and Coast Mastering, the headphones promise studio-grade audio. A new carbon fibre composite driver improves clarity, while support for High-Resolution Audio, LDAC, and DSEE Extreme™ upscaling ensures detailed sound reproduction.

The headphones also feature a six-microphone AI beamforming system for clearer calls, scene-based listening that adjusts audio based on activity, and Quick Access integration with services like Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.

With a new soft-fit vegan leather headband, foldable design, and up to 30 hours of playback, the WH-1000XM6 also supports fast charging, offering three hours of playtime from a three-minute charge.

In line with Sony’s sustainability goals, the packaging uses 100% recyclable paper-based materials.

Available in Black, Platinum Silver, and Midnight Blue, the WH-1000XM6 is on sale from September 29 across Sony Centers, Croma, Reliance outlets, ShopatSC.com, and Amazon.
