Papon to Embark on ‘Shaam-E-Mehfil’ Tour Across Six Cities

New Delhi: Singer, composer and music producer Angaraag Mahanta, popularly known as Papon, has announced a six-city concert series titled Shaam-E-Mehfil with Papon. The tour will celebrate his enduring love for ghazals while also featuring nazms, reimagined Bollywood classics, and some of his signature compositions.

The series will begin in Pune on October 4, followed by performances in Mumbai (October 11), Kolkata (October 12), Jaipur (November 1), Bengaluru (November 2), and conclude in Delhi on November 8.

Presented in an intimate mehfil-style setting, the concerts will see Papon perform alongside his band of musicians, blending traditional ghazal aesthetics with a contemporary sound.

Announcing the tour on Instagram, the singer wrote: “Shaam-E-Mehfil with Papon An evening where soulful ghazals, timeless Bollywood classics, and heartfelt nazms come alive. Seats are limited. Don’t miss this beautiful evening!”

Alongside the tour, Papon is also preparing for the release of his upcoming ghazal album. Together, the live performances and the new record aim to offer audiences a rare musical experience that bridges tradition with modern expression.
