Apoorva Arora has successfully completed filming for her upcoming project Nazariya, Directed by Palash Muchhal, a film that pushed her artistic boundaries and deepened her understanding of performance. Starring alongside Bhavya Shah, a visually impaired stand-up comic, Apoorva embraced the challenge of crafting a performance that was both nuanced and in sync with her co-star’s needs. Her ability to seamlessly adapt and bring authenticity to her role highlights her dedication to the craft and the collaborative spirit that defined the shoot.
Speaking about her experience, Apoorva shared, “In Nazariya, my character’s name is Apoorva— same as my real name. It was an interesting challenge to dissociate from my real personality while portraying the role. The schedule was intense, with long shooting hours and limited rest. We conducted multiple rehearsals and readings, sometimes gathering late into the night to ensure we delivered our best. Maintaining focus and energy through such an extensive schedule was a test of endurance and passion.”
She further elaborated on working with Bhavya Shah, stating, “Acting alongside Bhavya was a unique learning experience. We had to establish a rhythm that worked seamlessly on screen. It was always about adapting and collaborating to enhance our performances. Bhavya’s determination and enthusiasm were truly inspiring, and working with him enriched my own approach to acting. Shooting in Sangli was fast-paced and demanding, but the experience was incredibly fulfilling.”
The film, which delves into thought-provoking themes, highlights the beauty of teamwork and the power of perseverance. With the shoot now complete, Nazariya enters post-production, and anticipation is high for its release. Additionally, on the work front, Apoorva’s short film Lipstick has been selected for the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke International Film Festival, marking another milestone in her flourishing career.
