Government Responsible For Inox Courtyard Fire : Amarnath Panjikar

How welding was allowed at Inox Courtyard & Old GMC Hospital Heritage Building Precinct which caused a major fire today? Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant must explain if all permissions of the Department of Fire & Emergency Services & Disaster Management Authority & others were taken by organisers?, demanded Congress Media Cell Chairman Amarnath Panjikar.

Reacting to the fire incident that charred one huge pandal into ashes at Inox Courtyard, Amarnath Panjikar slammed the BJP Government for endangering the lives of people.

We want to know how welding work was permitted in between the Heritage Building and Four Screened Cinema Theatre? Who provided Power Connection to undertake the Welding Work that caused the fire as stated by Inox Security Deputy Manager Suraj Shitole?, questioned Amarnath Panjikar.

It is also shocking to note that the Government allowed the erection of Pandal blocking open space which is also the exit space for those attending movies. This shows complete negligence of the Government on the Safety and Security of Citizens, said Amarnath Panjikar.

We demand a detailed report from the Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant who is also the Home Minister and Chairman of the Entertainment Society of Goa. Strict action should be taken against all those responsible for the fire which fortunately did not cause any casualties, said Amarnath Panjikar.
