Panaji :

Congress has presence in all 40 Constituencies in Goa. Our President Amit Patkar is not informed by Goa Forward MLA Vijai Sardesai about his Sunday Dialogue at Curchorem. I was under the impression that it is his personal outreach activity. Today’s statement by Goa Forward Office Bearer Durgadas Kamath shows there is Politics behind it, said Congress General Secretary Moreno Rebelo.

Congress Functionaries in Goa feel that the particular activity of Goa Forward Party is an attempt to show one upmanship among the Alliance Partners. Goa Forward General Secretary Durgadas Kamat had made a Media Statement earlier in the  day that Sunday Dialogues will continue in all 40 Constituencies in Goa which irked the Congress Workers.

Incidentally, the Press Conference addressed by Goa Forward Convenor of Environment Cell Vikas Bhagat had presence of Pushkal Sawant who is considered to be close aid of Curchorem MLA Nilesh Cabral, Revolutionary Goans Party Curchorem Candidate Aditya Dessai and RSS Activist Kaustubh Bhise besides local Councillor Balkrishna alias Pinty Hodarkar.

Speaking to Indian Herald, Curchorem Block Congress President Parag Sabnis said that he is out of Goa and has no information about the Sunday Dialogue organised by Goa Forward MLA Vijay Sardesai in Curchorem. Congress is regularly taking up issues concerning the People of Curchorem, he said.

It may be recalled that Goa Forward Party had announced its support to Congress Candidates during Loksabha Elections and had also claimed that they were part of INDI Alliance. Congress Workers had earlier participated in “Janata Darbar” held by Goa Forward MLA Vijay Sardesai in a few Constituencies considering that he is part of INDI Alliance.

“Sunday Dialogue” now announced in all 40 Constituencies has not gone well with Congress Workers across State. Although Aam Aadmi Party and Revolutionary Goans have not yet reacted on it, sources said that this particular activity may find opposition from the two Political Parties as they have elected MLAs in three Constituencies in Goa.
