‘Don’t Twist & Turn My Words for Political Gains, Let Us Have Open Debate’

Dear Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, Dont try to twist & turn selective words from my speech to get political mileage & spread venom. I am ready for an open Debate on what i spoke as well as issues of Destruction of Identity of Goa, Rise in Unemployment, Inflation, Crimes & Corruption under BJP Government, challenged Congress South Goa Candidate Capt. Viriato Fernandes.
Reacting sharply to the Social Media post of CM Dr. Pramod Sawant who had said “I am appalled by the comments from Congress’s South Goa candidate claiming the Indian Constitution was forcefully imposed upon Goans”, Capt. Viriato Fernandes slammed Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant for selectively chosing words from his speech & tageting him.
What i spoke, Where i spoke, In What context i spoke, everything is in public domain. When BJP gets rattled over Core Issues, they try to divert attention. We are open to face any debates and answer any questions, said Capt. Viriato Fernandes.
I am ready for Open Debate on Murder of Constitution, Corruption, High Inflation, Mass Defections, Unemployment, Crime, Atrocities on Women and Child, Destruction of Enviornment under BJP Regime in last 10 years and all other issues concerning Goa and Goans. Let CM Dr. Pramod Sawant fix Date, Time and Venue before 7th May 2024, said Capt. Viriato Fernandes.
I have worked in Defence. I have participated in Kargil War. I dont need lessons from CM Dr. Pramod Sawant on Respecting Constitution and Safeguarding Democracy. We will not fall prey to their diversionary tactics now. Let us first discuss Failure of BJP on all fronts, stated Capt. Viriato Fernandes.
Why Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant did not react when his own MLAs and Ministers levelled allegations of Corruption on each other? Why is he quiet on our Complaint against Gold Smuggling at Dabolim allegedly with involvement of Cabinet Minister? Why is he quiet on Collapse of Kala Academy? questioned Capt. Viriato Fernandes.
South Goa has realised that BJP wants to handover this Beautiful Land to Crony Capitalists. We will never allow this to happen. Goa was liberated with Sacrifices of Freedom Fighters and we will not allow BJP to snatch it from us, warned Capt. Viriato Fernandes
